THE 25 th ANNUAL PHILADELPHIA SCHOOL DISTRICT
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ART EXHIBITION
The Philadelphia Sketch Club in partnership with the Philadelphia School District presents the 25 th Annual High School Students Art Exhibition at its historic center city location from February 9 through February 22, 2009 . A closing Artists' Reception will be held on Sunday, February 22, from 2 to 5 PM. This invitational exhibition will feature works by the best artists in the School District of Philadelphia as selected by the art instructors at the various schools. The exhibition will contain a number of mediums to include oils, watercolors, prints, photographs, collage and sculpture. Prizes will be awarded as selected by Jurors from the Philadelphia Sketch Club.
Gallery hours are Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 5 PM. Admission is free. The Sketch Club is located at 235 S. Camac St. , between 12 th & 13 th and Locust and Spruce Streets, Philadelphia , PA. For information call (215) 545-9298 or visit www.sketchclub.org .
Founded in 1860, the Philadelphia Sketch Club is America 's oldest artists club. Supporting young and emerging artists has always been an important part of the Club's mission. The High School Students Art Exhibition at the Philadelphia Sketch Club is in its 25 th year. As a special complementary exhibition this year, there will be an exhibition of works by Art Teachers from the School District of Philadelphia in the Club's first floor gallery.
